Celebrating Neurodiversity at BPP: Embracing Different Ways of Thinking
This week, we celebrate Neurodiversity Celebration Week, a time to recognise and appreciate the diverse ways in which people think, learn, and experience the world. We would like to remind you what University support we have to offer for our neurodivergent students.
What is Neurodiversity?
Neurodiversity refers to the natural variation in human brains and cognition. It includes conditions such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, and other neurological differences. Rather than viewing these as deficits, neurodiversity recognises them as unique strengths that contribute to the richness of our student community.
Why is Neurodiversity Important?
Many neurodivergent individuals bring innovative thinking, creativity, problem-solving skills, and a different perspective to academic and professional environments. However, they can also face challenges, particularly in traditional educational settings. By raising awareness and providing the right support, we can help every student reach their full potential.
How BPP Supports Neurodivergent Students
At BPP, we believe that every student should have the tools and support they need to succeed. Below are some of the teams here at BPP that can help support neurodivergent students:
