What is the Say My Name Campaign?

At BPP we believe in the importance of using a person's name correctly. Saying a person's name correctly helps to build community, acknowledges identity and ingrains inclusivity in the heart of BPP. 

By correctly pronouncing someone's name or trying to, we can build stronger connections with those around us and encourage visibility of those from all backgrounds and cultures. 

Based on research by Warrick University, who sampled over 800 students, we know that when students feel seen by their peers and staff who are making efforts to correctly use their names, it increases feelings of respect, inclusion and visibility. This began a conversation among staff on how we can do better.
