BPP University Graduation Ceremonies

Discover your eligibility, key dates, and everything you need to get ceremony-ready

Key Information

Eligibility and Event Information

You’re eligible to attend a BPP Graduation Ceremony with your family and supporters when:

✅ You’ve successfully completed your studies on a degree course;
✅ You’ve received your results;
✅ Your award has been ratified at an Academic Council meeting (held six times per year)

Check our handy eligibility table below to see when to expect your invite and the ceremonies you will be allocated to. Your eligibility is determined by your ratification date, so you may not be eligible for the ceremony season immediately after you receive results.

You'll receive an invite when the above criteria has been met AND the event details for the graduation season for which you are eligible, have been confirmed. You can see when you can expect your invite, below.

Graduations are ticketed events held at external venues in London and Manchester. You'll be told which specific ceremony you can attend. Attendance is opt-in and subject to capacity. To join us, please register by the deadline in your invite email and rent or purchase the correct academic attire (gown, mortar board and hood). If you’re bringing family or supporters, they’ll need guest tickets (also subject to capacity).

Prefer a different timing? You can defer to a future ceremony—or choose to graduate in absentia if you’d rather not attend.

Whether you attend a ceremony or not, your certificate is issued separately—learn more on our Awards page.

Locations and Dates

Our graduation seasons are spring and autumn. Ceremonies take place at external event venues in London and Manchester. We do not hold ceremonies in both locations during every graduation season. Confirmed graduation seasons and locations are in the eligibility table below.

Your ceremony location is usually based on where you studied. Once you’re eligible, you’ll be invited when the dates are confirmed for a graduation season that includes your location.

Distance Learning graduands may be offered a choice of location. The options available to you will be confirmed in your invitation. If your preferred location is not available, you may be able to defer to a future graduation season.

Travel tip: Please do not book travel or accommodation until your graduation place is confirmed via email after you’ve booked your place.

Important to Know
  • If changes to your final mark are in progress, these must be ratified at a future Academic Council. Even if you’ve already booked, any changes that void results may require a deferral to a future ceremony.
  • If you have outstanding fees (including resits), you can still register and rent your gown, but the debt will be logged on your event ticket and you’ll be refused admittance on the day if it’s not settled. For help, contact the Student Finance Team via the Hub or call 03300 603100.
